Foundation of L & C Steinmüller, Gummersbach, a family-run company, which developed from a paper mill into a tube - and steam boiler factory. In times of economic boom L & C Steinmüller had employed about 5.000 workers and supplied its boilers worldwide.

1990


L & C Steinmüller, the privately owned family business was taken over by Philipp Holzmann AG, but keeping its name.

1999


L& C Steinmüller was taken over by Deutsche Babcock AG.

2002


Insolvency of Deutsche Babcock AG.

2003


Foundation of “ STEINSERV Steinmüller Serviceleistungen GmbH “ by 6 former L & C Steinmüller employees, with the aim to establish a service company on the basis of existing knowledge in the field of steam generation and waste incineration.

2010


After reorganization of the former Steinmüller industrial site to a commercial area with shopping centers and event halls, STEINSERV moved to “ Industriegebiet Sonnenberg “ outside Gummersbach in 2010, providing more expansion possibilities regarding production capacities and professional staff.
